The San Juan Islands offer world class cold water diving. Underwater, the San Juans are the land of the giants- Giant Acorn Barnacles, Giant Plumose Anemones, and the Giant Pacific Octopus. You'll also find rocks completely encrusted with sponges, cup corals, tunicates, and over a dozen different types of anemones. Red, purple and green sea urchins, nudibranchs of every shape and color, Puget Sound King Crab and a full range of sea stars crawl over the reefs while rockfish, lingcod and wolf eels swim through the waters. Be sure to check out some videos made diving off our boat at Deception Pass, and at Long Island Wall in the San Juans.

Lu-Jac's Quest started chartering scuba trips out of Anacortes in 1998, and there are over 100 dive sites that we've identified so far. You can charter with us again and again without repeating a dive, and we have a no-harvest policy to preserve the life on these dive sites.

Lu-Jac's Quest is equipped with a heated cabin, a drop-down stern platform to ease entry, and two "Christmas tree" ladders for an easy climb back onto the boat. The boat is equipped with GPS, a depth sounder, radar, and a Coast Guard licensed skipper. We offer two dives a day. We encourage photographers and videographers, with fresh water rinses and plenty of inside table area for changing film and batteries.

Check out our Reservation Calendar to join a scheduled trip, or to schedule a trip for your group or dive shop. Charters run year round, so we can schedule trips during the off-season, weather permitting, which is generally better visibility. We offer some great Fall and Winter Dive Packages. Be sure to check out our new video page, showing a great dive and drone footage following Lu-Jac's Quest back to the marina.

Coast Guard inspected and certified for 20 passengers, we normally carry a maximum of 10 divers total (includes 1 Dive Master typically provided by the chartering dive shop).

What to bring: all your own dive gear, two tanks and drinks; continental breakfast and lunch is provided. If you are spending the weekend air fills are available in Anacortes. Our two-tank trips generally last about eight hours.

We are located in Anacortes' Skyline Marina (see Contact and Directions for driving directions, and transportation options from SeaTac Airport).

Give us a call at (360) 202-0076 (cell), or e-mail us for reservations and more information.

Independent Dive Masters please note:
you must fill out and return the Dive Charter Contract for Independent Dive Masters. Each diver must also sign the Liability Waiver form.
